For the field of “System Security” under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ahmad-Reza Sadeghi, we are looking for a system and network administrator for the maintenance of the IT infrastructure of the department and the
construction of a laboratory for the safety of smart devices (smartphones and tablets). For example, this includes the design, ordering and maintenance of servers and lab hardware and the setup and configuration of network services and mobile devices.We offer a challenging and varied job in an exciting environment on the pulse of IT security.

  • Personal responsibility for design, procurement and support of IT systems at the Department
  • Assistance in setting up of hardware for the laboratory safety, function prototypes, and computer labs
  • Coordination with TU and external IT facilities
  • Care and supervision of student assistants

Requirements:

  • Very good knowledge in the area of ​​system administration
    • Linux, Windows, Xen, laboratory operation with OS Images
    • Server software (Xen, LDAP, redmine, MySQL, …)
    • Networks (routing, firewalls, VPN, DNS, SSH …)
    • Programming (shell scripts, Python, etc.)
    • Content management and groupware systems
  • Interest in new technologies (Intel AMT, Trusted Computing, cloud systems, Android OS and iOS)
  • Good German and English, spoken and written
  • Initiative , willingness to learn and reliability
  • Ability to work independently
  • Teamwork, helpfulness, resilience
    • Part-time position (20 hours / week), now
    • Initial period of 1 year in the framework of CASED (for construction of the above mentioned security laboratories) with a view to extension or Entfristung
