MASTER THESIS: MODELLING OF ICING ON WIND TURBINES – E105124

Master Thesis: Modelling of icing on wind turbines
Location: 26607 Aurich, Reference Code: DE105124
To avoid the formation of ice on the rotor blades wind turbines (WEA) of the company
Enercon equipped with a rotor blade heating. Growing demands on the availability of wind turbines increase the need for innovative de-icing systems. This includes in particular the ability of predicting risk of icing. For this, a simulation environment for the formation of ice on the rotor blade is developed and validated using data from an icing wind tunnel. In a diploma / master thesis parts are to be evaluated and implemented this simulation environment.

Your Tasks

  • Incorporation into Eisbildungsmechanismen and ice build up on aerodynamic profiles
  • Incorporation into parts of the existing landscape simulation
  • Evaluating different Eisbildungsmodelle
