Patent Manager (m / f)

Position Description

High debt graduates in chemistry or pharmacy will be given the chance to train in the area of ​​patent law and to start on a permanent basis a career with an international pharmaceutical company. As a member of the international patent department at the headquarters of the Group of Patent Manager (m / f) for the patent issues in the field of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, and the cooperation with external patent attorneys and lawyers responsible.

The core functions are:

• patent legal support of R & D projects, product launches and existing products

• giving instructions to external patent attorneys to conduct patent searches to determine the patent situation and subsequent processing of the external patent assessments

• Management of intellectual property rights monitoring

• Identification of sensitive development ideas and putting these ideas into patents and / or designs in collaboration with external patent attorneys

• Supervision and management of the current intellectual property portfolios

• defense in patent litigation and defense of existing rights in cooperation with external patent attorneys and lawyers

• Advising departments in patent issues and conduct internal training on the basics of patent law

Requirements

• A degree in chemistry or pharmacy

• First experience in the German and European patent law desirable

• Ideally experience in the patent department of an industrial enterprise (internships, student activities)

• Accurate, reliable, dedicated and able to work independently
