In vivo induction of haploids
We are looking for 01.10.2018 or by appointment in full-time form and for a limited period of three years a scientific assistant (w / m) for our Department of Molecular Plant Breeding corn and oil crops in Einbeck.
Your tasks:
- Planning and execution of in vivo induction experiments on haploids in corn, sunflower and sorghum in the greenhouse and field
- Capture, analysis and interpretation of experimental data
- Development, evaluation and maintenance of mapping populations, isogenic lines and mutation lines in maize, sorghum and sunflower
- Monitoring of publications and patents on induction of haploids
Your profile:
- Master or Doctorate in Plant Breeding or Plant Biology
- Good knowledge in plant breeding
- Good knowledge of molecular biology in plants
- Experience with trials in the field and greenhouse
- Experience in data analysis and presentation
- Very good knowledge of English in spoken and written
- Traveling
