Lead Architect R & D IT (m / w)

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Computational Life Science
you make an important contribution to the definition and implementation of data models in the
field of life science.

• Introducing frameworks to build on bioinformatics and information science
• Design of holistic data flows and processes to optimize the cross-functional sensing parts and use of knowledge in the field of R & D
• Collaboration with scientists in order to develop and implement user-oriented IT projects
• Further expansion of next-generation sequencing and genomics, as well as the possibilities for the use of clinical and electronic health records

IT Consulting Enterprise Architecture

• Participation in the development of vision of enterprise-wide IT architecture for the R & D area
• Consulting and define and control the design of data models and integrated information flows in particular for the preclinical and clinical R & D
• Managing projects for the development of data and application architectures
• Advancing the holistic data integration
• Analyzing business processes (business capability analysis) and integration into the defined target architecture
• Directing project team of internal and external members

WHAT TO BRING

• University degree preferably in natural sciences, computer science or business, ideally with Promotion
• Several years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or in the consulting / service companies producing for Drugs and Medical Devices Industry
• Extensive professional experience in some of the following areas of expertise:
  • Strategy development, definition of data models and analysis of business processes (business capability analysis)
  • Implementation and Control of Enterprise Architecture strategies
  • Solution architecture design
  • Data and knowledge management, in particular in the annotation of data and the use of ontologies or controlled vocabulary
• Many years of experience with business information systems
• Deep understanding of complex and large system landscapes
• Good knowledge of pharmaceutical research and development
• Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
• Very good oral and written communication skills
• Very team-oriented and independent work style
• Enjoy working in a network of very many (also executive) stakeholders
• High degree of persuasiveness, competent demeanor and ability to motivate
• Very good English skills in speaking and writing
