7. Spouse of a Blue Card holder is exempted from providing A-1 German language certificate. About this, don’t believe on what they say on phone :). If your spouse can’t manage to do a language course in Pakistan, present following reference of the concerned Law as proof on your appointment day:

8. In some cities, there were cases when Ausländerbehorde(ABH) objected that the spouse in Germany is passing through the probation period of job. In some cities ,they ask for salary slips of 6 months while in others only for 3 months or just a job contract. Talk to other Pakistanis/Indians who have experience of dealing with the same ABH so that you can proceed accordingly.

Thank you for the detailed information regarding the family reunion visa much appreciated. I recently moved back from the UK to get married to my Romanian national fiance who is currently living in Germany for the past 2 years and is self employed, we made a plan to get married in Pakistan as we want to have a family wedding.
What kind of documents does she needs to bring with herself regarding the marriage and for me to apply for the visa later on ?
I have dug some information which got to me a conclusion that she needs to come here and write a stamp paper deceleration that she is not kidnapped or being forced to get married (lol that’s just dumb what era are we living in) and then we need to get married with all the above mentioned nikkah information,
Do I need to register my marriage with nadra as well? If so then do you have any idea on how to do it ? I found out you can get a form to do that after the marriage certificate is obtained, is it worth the trouble?
Any kind of help will be greatly appreciated.
And yes I’m living in islamabad.

For registration , i think you have to visit your respective Town council. They would send your record to Nadra i suppose (like how they send for Birth certificate and such).

same was my case, don’t worry. embassy will not reject unless your date of birth is same on all documents (passport, birth certificate, marriage certificate and nikkah nama and FRC).

Yes, I got visa. Normally, lawyer do these things to put pressure and let one agree to pay bribe money. there is no such case to provide medical certificate as proof of birth. It happens only if a person died and the police wanted to verfiy his/her year of birth or someone has no previous record of birth certificate. Nadra or UC will not issue any certificate to let you go to any hospital. My lawyer was in Lahore and he was so irritating. But, then there was no objection from the embassy and i got visa in three months.

@ Zoya Khan: it depends upon the number of applications daily received by Ausländerbehörde. normally it tk 6/7 week but nowadays due to Syrian Refugees its taking 3/4 months (specially in big cities like Berlin/Hamburg etc).

These days visa processing is a bit delayed from Germany. 1 month is too soon. Wait for another few weeks and if you dont hear back, contact them!

My wife with 2 kids applied for family reunion VISA on 23rd of June 2015. Local verification was quick and it was done the next month in July 2015. Since then we haven’t heard anything back from German Embassy Islamabad. 6 month is the processing time written on german embassy website. I also don’t know how much time should we wait before we contact them. My wife tried to contact on their landline numbers and found out numbers were not working. I will let you know incase if anything comes out.

Hey! I am going to apply for a Family Reunion Visa. However I am worried that there might be some problems as my Fiancee is still studying in University and I dont have a degree yet which I can use to get a good job in germany ( I plan to do my bachelors there though ) on top of this her father just lost his job a while ago due to disability and thus we are a bit tight on money.
We contacted a lawyer who said that they cannot legally deny us a visa because of this and even their request for demanding the paper from auslanderbehorde which is only given if you are employed is illegal. She is going to write a legal letter to the embassy and I am going to submit my application in a couple of days. The standsamt has accepted the marriage and issued us the paper detailing the marriage date etc which is at the end of July. Do you think there might be issues with this ?
I am recently done with interview with my lawyer. Now waiting for my visa ..how long is it going to take now ..my layer assured me not more than 10 days..

prove of single status certificate and nothing thats it and best way to go court marriage and make affidavit that make your wedding case perfect and dont forget nikkah nama and marriage certificate should be same UC and attested from forign affair.

Dear Admin, today a lawyer visited our house at lahore. he raised an object on nikkah nama that it has to be registered at the same UC where nikkah was recited. secondly, he has asked to provide medical certificate as a proof of her birth year which has to be attested by an MS from a hospital. It happened because her birth certificate entry was ‘Late’. Do you have any information regarding the nikkah nama transfer from one UC to another one? how long does it takes and what exactly is the procedure?

It gonna delay you around 2 months I think because they will want to verify the new documents all over again. What kindof questions did the lawyer ask you ? Was it like a mini interview of sorts ?

He mostly focused on getting medical certificate for age verification.
You are right, it was a mini interview; mostly the questions asked were related to family members. Like their name, number of children, their date of marriage. Many questions doesn’t makes sense. And the lawyer was also keep on saying that in some cases it also takes years and then people are required to hire a lawyer who then spend 2-3 Lac Rs to fix the documents. He was discouraging like he was already prepared to send a negative report to the embassy. Although all documents are originals.
It was such a bad experience.
Well Lawyers are trained twats mate :) She could have argued back with her documents from school along with Form C Form D etc to establish herself but if he really wants to be an ass then what can you do. I have heard the thing about the Nikah nama about it having to be registered with the correct UC …so that is a valid mistake you have to correct. I dont think a lawyer is needed as long as you have some contacts and money for mithai :)
moreover, the lawyer was rude. Actually, my wife went to the hospital for tests, so that she may get birth year certificate attested by the MS. Dr. said, they do not issue any such certificate only if its a police case or if it is requested by the court.
To her surprise, she called the lawyer that she needs an authority letter, he replied “hum noker nahi hain German embassy walo k, k ye kaam bhi kerain”. He also said, that we are not allowed to pick up private calls. His attitude is totally un-acceptable. Don’t know if the lawyer needs bribe or what.

But, how is that possible to transfer nikkah nama to another UC without having any written remarks. Lawyer only said on the telephone. now if, the lawyer submits report to embassy with negative remark and meanwhile the nikkah nama is transferred to another UC without any objection reference then it might create problem? or? because then the embassy will find ambiguity on second verification that previously the nikkah was in another UC and now it is in another UC?

if they have already sent the documents to Germany, then there should not be an issue. Otherwise, why would the home embassy send incomplete/doubtful documents to the ausländerbehörde?
your wife submitted papers there in ausländerbehörde so here must be same papers so dont try change papers that create problem so you need to wait of embassy answer if you change papers they will accept marriage or make objection on papers

I am facing exactly the same issue these days. and I am hearing different stories. some people are saying, do not transfer nikkah nama until we get objection from the embassy. and then we can file a case in the court based on the reference document from the embassy that we want to transfer nikkah nama as per Embassy requirement. As of domestic law in Pakistan, nikkah can be registered at any other place. however, international law can be different. At the moment, we have nothing in written to proceed.
I am facing another problem of Birth Certificate. The lawyer has asked my wife to submit Medical Certificate signed by Medical Superintendent. However, none of the department in Pakistan either NADRA, UC or Hospital are helping to issue that certificate. Lawyer from the embassy is pushing us to the wall, we are totally blocked. So, I have double trouble. Perhaps its better that we get written objection from the embassy, so that we may carry out the process legally through the court.

did you submit visa application form your wife gave papers for verification and you have to go by person for apply visa in consulate then your wife has to give abh more papers like residency permint work permit and letter about purpose and stay of duration i went through all this

For example, in my case, the molvi sb! who solemnised nikkah in the marriage hall wrote address of my wife’s home, and the nikkah is also registered in the same municipality’s UC where her home is. Now, do we have to transfer our nikkah nama to another UC close to the marriage hall? In this case, nikkah will be regsitered to UC A, but molvi sb! was regsitered to UC 1? will that not create ambiguity?
Now a days, many people like to solemnise nikkah at Badshahi Mosque Lahore, for example. but they came far from places. They bring molvi sb! from their area, they put address on nikkah of their area, not Badshahi mosque and they also register nikkah at their very own area. In such a case, I don’t see any reason from the embassy to raise objection. If so, do we have to silently transfer the nikkah file, or we can hire a lawyer to defend our case?

today, I have received letter from ausländerbehörde for further verification of my documents. I hope, embassy didn’t care about the negative comments from the lawyer.
salam, my wife has got call from embassy to collect the visa.
there was no issue either to transfer the nikahnama or the birth certificate verification with some medical report.
will definitely complaint against the lawyer. he did upset us.
the total time in visa processing was 2 month 3 weeks.
After abh approval consulate call you for insurance of 90 days
efu insurance is best i made in 10 mins insurance policy

it took 4 months verification and 3 months visa process and after verification 2 weeks i need all documents for visa like authenthal and residency perment after wife submitted again all documents to abh in german then i got call from consulate visa is approved and they required insurance of 90 days and flight ticket after submitted ticket and insurance after 2 days i got visa
i have never phoned and email to consulate about my status. If you have any question simple visit to visa section that is better they guide you good than through email or call
Last day Lawyer visited to me he inquired about my birth certificate and Nikkah Nama from the Offiece of Union Council and then asked question about me my family and my wife’s family that’s all. He was very Good person

Embassy walay within a week ap k documents Lawyer ko send ker dety hain hain…Phir wo log ap k city k hesab say ya number of cases k hesab say schedule banaty hain. kuch ka 2 weeks bad b aa gea tha. kuch ka 2 months bad.

I just wanted to know that do i need to pass the A1 german language test as I am a qualified person and done my Mphil from a renowned university. Because few websites mention that in some cases, this language test is exempted.

Sara if you are intended to apply Family reunion visa then you must pass A1 exam because in Family reunion visa case you will submit only those documents which are related to you and your spouse not your educational documents so I recommend you that as soon as you can pass the A1 exam and be calm . Because I have submitted my Family reunion visa application just a month ago and I am also qualified Person and also pass A1 exam from NUML Islamabad ?

It doesnt matter what your qualification is. IF your spouse has a Blue card Or is a german national, then you are exempted from German A1 otherwise in ALL other cases you have present a certificate e-g from Goethe

It depends upon the confirmation from the Aliens Office in Germany. Expect the visa call 2 to 3 weeks after the all okay from there!

Yes, aliens office in Germany requires additional documents like job contract, salary slips, health insurance and contract of the apartment. After I submitted these docs in Germany, my wife got visa call the very next day from Islamabad. Usually it takes 6-8 weeks. Sometimes its really fast.
