My questions are
How many days the bank takes to confirm the deposit?
How the bank send the confirmation? by email or post?

Actually i have an appointment for interview on 22 Aug..

I am afraid if the bank send me confirmation by post i will not be able to provide proof at the time of interview.

The Bank generally takes from 3-5 business days to process your payment. If not email them and ask!..

They will send you the confirmation via Email , so just print it and take it along to the embassy.

Today my local bank manager told me that due to some reasons my transaction is still in progress, tomorrow it will be done..
If i present credit slip instead of deutsche bank confirmation email.
will embassy consider my application?
The bank will take at least two days to confirm my payment and i have no time..my interview date is 22 Aug coming Friday.

well , it is certainly a risk. I think they wont accept the slip for transfer.May be they will accept it.. May be they dont. but worth a try. take it with you

The bank generally takes 6-8 business days to open a student account. Sorry i dont have their phone number , but you can try to email them via the contact form at their website

Hi Hassanat ,
You can try to use a foreign currency account of your friend or someone you know. it takes about 2 days to transfer and one week for DB to send you the statement.

For creating the new thread when you goto http://germanystudy.net/forums/ , you will see the forums , click one of them and at the bottom you will be able to create a new topic.

I’m Andrews , I sent my forms to duetche bank and I got an email saying that my account could not be opened because I didn’t fill in with my Tax residences and Tax Identification Number. But here is the case that in my country,Ghana students don’t pay tax so what I’m I supposed to do ??

Andrew fill Tax residences with your country name and Tax Identification Number with your national identity card number and resend the documents to DB again with the print out of their email. Hope this time you will get the confirmation of account opening.

Hi Asma,
You have to ask the western union agent. If it’s possible to transfer the said amount in Euro’s to the bank account in germany then it should be possible , if not you have to talk to someone who has a euro account , open one yourself OR get in contact with money exchangers / agents.

After you send in the specified blocking amount , the bank will send you a blocking statement per Email and also a copy is sent to the local Auslanderbehorde in Germany and a copy to the embassy in Islamabad. You need the print out for the confirmation of that blocking with your visa applocation.

Recently Deutsche Bank has made a new rule to not send any confirmation of money reception mail to the embassy, whereas my home country’s embassy is still not ready to accept this change. It has been over a month and the situation has not improved. None of the students has heard anything about visa results within this time. We are constantly mailing DB and embassy but nothing has changed. We feel kind of lost in this situation not knowing what to do. Can you please suggest us any effective step?

Thanks for replying. They are saying Deutsche Bank will not send the confirmation of money receipt to the embassy anymore. They will e-mail it to the customers only. Our embassy is not approving this, saying they do not want to face any frauds so they have to get the original confirmation from the bank directly. All of our visa procedure is now stuck at this point.

They are probably processing it. So you should get it soon. And for visa , they need the original blocking letter from the bank. But you can try with the receipt and tell them you can provide them on a later agreed date. perhaps it would work too.

I’ve just received an email from Deutsch Bank to inform me that my blocked account cannot be opened because the ‘Place of Birth’ section is not filled properly. Instead of the country of birth, the city or village has to be filled instead. However, as Singapore is a city-state, the country IS the city. For example:

Country of Birth: Singapore
Place/City of Birth: Singapore

This should mean that I’ve filled in the form correctly in the first place. How do I contact Deutsch Bank to inform them of this? I don’t wish to waste more time in posting out another form if I can.

The bank made a mistake and forgot to include my Iban code in the block account confirmation letter. I need it to transfer money so I can get my visa. I was told that they will take 5-7 working days to reply. It has been 13 working days since I sent the contact form. I tried another two more times since then. There’s no phone number to call and they don’t reply their emails. Why is this bank so inefficient. It’s the bank’s mistake and they don’t even bother to reply. How is there no other way to contact the department?

Hi. i have sent the application documents to Deutsche Bank 3 times since May. The recent one was sent in July but i have not heard from them each time. They have not sent any email to let me know if there is an issue with my application or to provide the bank account details. I have gone to the Deutsche Bank website many times over the last 3 months to try to contact them but still no word from them. I am intended to send new proof of funds but should I send a new application with it or just the proof how can I make the DB do not reject my money knowing that the money will be transferred before they receive the new proof ?

It doesnt matter from which account you transfer. Offcourse the receiving amount should be the same. When the money , which is required is complete. The bank will automatically send you a proof!.

Deutche Bank is the best bank in this world. That’s why its preferred for visa procedures.

Following are the awesome list of services they provide.
1)They take minimum 3-4 weeks for account opening. In mean time they wont let you know about he acknowledgement form.
2)DB Student has a website over there you can register your queries but they wont be replying to anyone of them.
3)For any change in block account you have to send a supplementary form again. For any of these changes they will charge you 150Euros and also you wont be given any acknowledgement of your application progress.
4)You can reach Deutche bank in very user friendly way. They have official Facebook , twitter and well mannered call centre but non of them are authorised and able to solve queries regarding your application or even as simple as your account statement.
5)Mail ID owned by DB student is just for passing information. They wont reply to any query to it.
6)DB India is not aware anything related to DB germany.
7)….Still more to be discovered.

Hope the things will be different on arrival to Germany.

My Visa process is under HOLD for more than an month because of a single account statement from DB.I had to reschedule my flight, cancel my room agreement and miss my language classes because of this treatment from DB.
There is no reply from DB inspire of 20+ follow-ups.

you need to goto a branch physically. give your passport etc and they would need an address where they will send you bank card and pin etc!

Dear Admin,

I had already sent all required documents and actually received an email stating my account was opened, complete with account details.
Next day, I received a second email stating: “…Because of business policy reasons currently we are
not able to manage the desired account for you.”. I called the bank and the customer service employees told me my account was opened and then closed, but they could not tell me why.

I was advised to contact the bank through the online form, which I did, but have not received any replies since.
Would you possibly know the reasons for this anomaly, or if it could be solved?

I thought I would ask if you knew at least a potential reason for such a case?
I can not follow up with them with no direction or idea of the cause of the issue since they do not communicate much.

Just visit the DB bank and ask that you want to block the account.

Also , you can goto your auslanderbehorde and ask them to give you a blocking letter , if the bank doesnt know what to do!

What are ways to transfer money to blocked account ?
1. Is it necessary to transfer it through Deutsche bank or any other local bank ?
2. Is it mandatory to send money from bank which we used to open DB blocked account ? OR
3. Can we transfer it through RBI authorized agents like Thomas cook or Western Union because these companies are offering good exchange rate than banks.
