GSLS Doctoral Program Fellowships for International Students in Germany, 2014

The Graduate School of Life Sciences (GSLS) at University of Würzburg is inviting applications for doctoral fellowships in the fields of Biomedicine, Clinical Sciences, Infection and Immunity, Integrative Biology and Neuroscience. Fellowship worth of 1468 EUR / month and 5000 EUR / year for research and conference expenses will be awarded to successful candidates. Applications must be submitted online till 30 September 2013.

Eligibility:
-passion for and experience in research,
-excellent university degree obtained within the last two years, usually an MSc or Diploma (if graduation is expected by January 2014 you may apply; exceptional candidates holding an Honours BSc can join after a qualification period),
-proven excellent oral and written English skills
-eagerness to work in an interdisciplinary and international environment.

Scholarship Description: Würzburg is one of Germany’s leading life sciences universities. Internationally renowned research centers as well as other research institutions provide exceptional research opportunities. The GSLS comprises more than 300 PhD students and runs research training programs in the following sections: Biomedicine, Clinical Sciences, Infection and Immunity, Integrative Biology and Neuroscience.

Notification: Notification about whether or not you are invited for an interview will be sent out by the end of October 2013. Selected applicants from Europe (or travelling in Europe at that time) will be invited for an interview in Würzburg in November/December 2013 (travel subsidies available). International applicants from outside Europe will be interviewed by video conferencing.
