Family Reunion – Pakistan – General info for all to avoid mistakes

Dear Members Assalam-o-Alaikum,
I am writing this email to let members know few things about family reunion and some mistakes which must be avoided. If some friend is going to get married  in Pakistan, please tell him/her about these issues. Simple looking mistakes can cause big trouble and delay later in family reunion.
About Nikah Registration:
Registration of Nikah involves three people:  Nikah Khawan, Nikah Registrar  and Union council. UC gives a register with 50 leaves to Nikah-Registrar. Each leave contains Nikah Nama ” Form II” in quadruplicate. In one UC , only a single Registrar can have the register.  In usual case, Nikah Khawan goes to Registrar(if he is himself not a registrar) and gets a Nikah nama Form II (which has fours copies). One copy each (filled and signed) is given to  Duhla, Dulhan,Registrar and UC.
1. Take care that Nikah is registered at the same Union Council where Nikah has taken place .Address written on filled Nikahnama should be in the UC where Nikah is registered.  Any thing different to this created big problem for many ,especially those who did Nikha in a Marriage Hall and brought Molvi sahib from some other UC. If you made this mistake, count a delay of at least 3 months. Embassy will raise objection as the lawyer sent for Marriage verification would like to see your Nikah registered at the same UC as address written on Nikahnama. You may be to asked to change registration of your marriage from one UC to other through a court procedure in Pakistan.
2. Please closely check all the four copies of the filled Nikah-Nama for any mistake in names, ID card nr., date of birth etc. Check that all signatures are there at right place and stamp of Nikah-Registrar is present. Many take things lightly in Pakistan while filling forms.
3. Telephonic Nikah is big no no. You must be present there as German Embassy/consulate now checks it from entry and exit stamps on your passport. If there are some unavoidable circumstances, give a written power of attorney which has legal value i.e signed in front of Notary Public/judge or from Pakistani embassy/consulate (in case they deal with it) to your father to represent you during Nikah.  Better be present there. Your absence will complicate the matters and hence the delay/rejection as a consequence.
4.  Carefully read the requirements of Embassy for Family reunion. If any question arises, call embassy to get an answer. Don’t rely blindly on the info collected from here and there.
5. Some people I talked to have made mistake while getting online appointment. You mad a mistake in name, passport number or email address than most probably you will not be able to submit documents on that day. In my experience, if you decide to take an appointment for family reunion, you normally get it after 4 to 6 weeks. So missing an appointment can be source of further delay.6. The interview by lawyer or at embassy may involve basic questions from your spouse about you. Newly married; make sure he/she has all the basic info about you.

7. Spouse of a Blue Card holder is exempted from providing A-1 German language certificate. About this, don’t believe on what they say on phone :). If your spouse can’t manage to do a language course in Pakistan, present following reference of the concerned Law  as proof on your appointment day:

8. In some cities, there were cases when Ausländerbehorde(ABH) objected that the spouse in Germany is passing through the probation period of job.  In some cities ,they ask for salary slips of 6 months while in others only for 3 months or just a job contract. Talk to other Pakistanis/Indians who have experience of dealing with the same ABH  so that you can proceed accordingly.

Please correct if I am wrong on any account. The info is based on posts of members on this forum, experiences of acquaintances and my personal experience.

  15. Aoa, i applied on 31st march for appointment. Till now not received appointment. Shall i contact embassy?

    1. W.s. I tried contacting embassy but it was automated reply everytime. You should receive an appointment soon because I also applied it on 30th March.

    2. I have applied in feb 11. I got reply in may and my appt was in july. So total 6 months. Now after the interview , lawyer came and it is been almost 2 months now waiting for their response.

I applied in march 12 …auslander contact me husband on 28 March ask for previous divorced papers …he submitted that within a week ….my inquiry done on 9 may …now it has been 6 months no response …I got letter today from embassy that my visa has been rejected as my husband could not prove his divorce in German….yh kesay ho skta jbk wo documents many b file k sath lgaye and or unho NY b submit krwaye .and uunk officer my bola everything is clear ….ub yh rejection ku or iska Kya Hal ha…jb k we are on right hm ny sb provide Kya

          1. its not objection, embassy neh apki visa application reject kar di hai, ap yeh paper jo embassy se aya hai rejection ka, apna husband ko send karo aur kaho k wo Abh se contact kara.

          4. No they can go to passport section just only in emergancy cases like passport has been stolen etc but if you are the applicant then you can go even the red passport holder is not allowed to enter the visa section,

Yar ham 8 visa cal wali thi jin main sy just 2 ny test pass kiyaa.baqi bechariyoo ko dobara krny ka bola hy certificate .or 3 recal waly thy 5 termin waly thy.or 1 no k zleel log hyn embassy main. Zallel krny main to koi qasar ni chorty sachi bohat hi gandy log hy.mujy to ronaa aa rha tha k kahaa phass gye hon.itny fazool or private swall.or han app plz cals kr k pocha kry esyy chorny ka koi reason ni bnta.koi workload ni h just bahany.or inshallah inshallah Allah fazal kry ga sab py.mushkil k sath aasani hy.ye Allah ka wada hy inshallah.

    I am in Berlin. I had faced same delays and long waiting times when i applied for my wife’s family reunion visa.
    It took me around 6-8 months to get the whole process completed. However, i was reading the other day in one of the news websites here in Germany, that currently German embassy’s are facing huge backlog of Family Reunion cases. It’s not only Pakisani embassies but also for India, Afghanistan, Syria etc etc. And they have planned to finish current backlog by the end of 2018.

    Therefore as consequence, everybody is expected to get longer wait / processing times. So please don’t loose hope.
    I know it is extremely difficult, but be patient with +ve hope. InshaAllah all will get their desired visas.

    To be very frank, it is worthless to contact embassy to inquire about your status, Firstly, they will not respond, secondly, it would bring more frustration. Once, your case will be on their table, they will surely contact you via call / email.

    And lastly, as per my little experience here in Germany. “Germans are dead slow in performing their tasks, however, once they start a task, they will complete it for sure”

      the same things told me my hubby he is also german national and living in germany for the last 15 years.
      that is why i do neither email, nor call.

    Mai ny fiance visa apply kiya tha August 2017 main phr decmbr main meri inquiry hoi or mery fiance k nam ka objection lag gya k unka nam dobra likha gya hai porana wala nam cut kar k ik sal agy k page py andraj howa hai jisy unki date of birth 1991 thi tu unky sary documents py 1992 thi tu unho ny porana cut kar k 1992 main apna nam likhwa liya tu uska objection lag gya ab koi btye ga k uska kiya hal hai porana wala nam nai mila usny bas shak kiya k ye new likha lgta hai

    I am new here please mjhy koi btye ga k ager embassy main file jama krwaty howy apka koi paper kam ho or wo apko recall paper dy k ap 2 month baad jama kra dena tu hm usko mail kar skty hain ya tcs k through ya khud hi jana lazmi hai?
    Actually mai ny email b ki hai or tcs b or abi tak unka koi jawab nai aya mai jully ki 23 ko unko wo paper send kar diya tha jab k meri appointment 18 july ko thi ik week bad mai unko wo paper mail kar diya phr August k schoro main mai unko tcs b kiya par unka koi jwab nai aya ab mai boht preshan hon kiya mai khud jaon k unko mil gya hoga please reply kar k koi bta dy ga sahi information

    1. Mail tu mujy lagta hy wo daikhty he nhi hein kyun k agar email karo tu wohi forward msg send kar daity hein. Mery khyial mein app khud embassy ja kar dain.
