Working field: The position is attached to the Collaborative Research Center SFB 910 “Control of self-organizing nonlinear systems: Theoretical methods and concepts of application” in project B4: “Control of flow patterns in complex fluids on the micron scale”. The research focuses on control of colloidal flow in inertial microfluidics. The tasks include performing Lattice-Boltzmann simulations to analyze multi-particle configurations, developing and applying appropriate control strategies as well as the optimal design of inertial fluid flow. PhD thesis preparation is possible.

Requirements: As a successful candidate you should hold a university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in physics. Good knowledge in statistical physics of soft matter and in numerical simulations is necessary.
