Course content | The BSRT international PhD programme comprises a series of courses, seminars and research projects designed to equip the students with the essential skills to become effective scientists in Regenerative Medicine. Highly-motivated young scientists will find ample opportunities for independent research and interaction between biological, engineering and clinical research. Each student will receive joint supervision by top-class researchers from different disciplines. |

Enrolment fees | Approx. 270 EUR per semester. Fee includes a semester ticket covering public transport in the Berlin metropolitan area. |
Costs of living | Funding by the BSRT will cover all living expenses. |
Funding opportunities within the university | The BSRT provides stipends for a year. Students will receive approx. 1,400 EUR per month. After one year the stipend holder will get a contract (TV Charité) about 65% for two years. |
Language requirements | Participation in an internationally recognised test such as TOEFL, IELTS or similar tests is highly recommended. An English test is not required if you are a native speaker or if you can prove that at least two years of your education were in English or at least one year was spent in an English-speaking country. |

Academic requirements | Biology Track: Applicants must hold a Master’s, a German Diploma or an equivalent degree in biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, bioengineering, immunology or veterinary medicine. A Dr rer nat degree will be awarded from the Humboldt-Universität, Freie Universität, Technische Universität or Universität Potsdam. A Dr vet med (veterinary medicine) will be awarded from the Freie Universität. Engineering Track: Applicants must hold a Master’s, a German Diploma or an equivalent degree in physics, chemistry, material science or engineering. A Dr Ing. will be awarded by the Technische Universität. A Dr rer nat will be awarded from the Humboldt-Universität, Freie Universität, Technische Universität or Universität Potsdam. |
