Dear Members Assalam-o-Alaikum,
I am writing this email to let members know few things about family reunion and some mistakes which must be avoided. If some friend is going to get married in Pakistan, please tell him/her about these issues. Simple looking mistakes can cause big trouble and delay later in family reunion.
About Nikah Registration:
Registration of Nikah involves three people: Nikah Khawan, Nikah Registrar and Union council. UC gives a register with 50 leaves to Nikah-Registrar. Each leave contains Nikah Nama ” Form II” in quadruplicate. In one UC , only a single Registrar can have the register. In usual case, Nikah Khawan goes to Registrar(if he is himself not a registrar) and gets a Nikah nama Form II (which has fours copies). One copy each (filled and signed) is given to Duhla, Dulhan,Registrar and UC.
1. Take care that Nikah is registered at the same Union Council where Nikah has taken place .Address written on filled Nikahnama should be in the UC where Nikah is registered. Any thing different to this created big problem for many ,especially those who did Nikha in a Marriage Hall and brought Molvi sahib from some other UC. If you made this mistake, count a delay of at least 3 months. Embassy will raise objection as the lawyer sent for Marriage verification would like to see your Nikah registered at the same UC as address written on Nikahnama. You may be to asked to change registration of your marriage from one UC to other through a court procedure in Pakistan.
2. Please closely check all the four copies of the filled Nikah-Nama for any mistake in names, ID card nr., date of birth etc. Check that all signatures are there at right place and stamp of Nikah-Registrar is present. Many take things lightly in Pakistan while filling forms.
3. Telephonic Nikah is big no no. You must be present there as German Embassy/consulate now checks it from entry and exit stamps on your passport. If there are some unavoidable circumstances, give a written power of attorney which has legal value i.e signed in front of Notary Public/judge or from Pakistani embassy/consulate (in case they deal with it) to your father to represent you during Nikah. Better be present there. Your absence will complicate the matters and hence the delay/rejection as a consequence.
5. Some people I talked to have made mistake while getting online appointment. You mad a mistake in name, passport number or email address than most probably you will not be able to submit documents on that day. In my experience, if you decide to take an appointment for family reunion, you normally get it after 4 to 6 weeks. So missing an appointment can be source of further delay.6. The interview by lawyer or at embassy may involve basic questions from your spouse about you. Newly married; make sure he/she has all the basic info about you.
7. Spouse of a Blue Card holder is exempted from providing A-1 German language certificate. About this, don’t believe on what they say on phone :). If your spouse can’t manage to do a language course in Pakistan, present following reference of the concerned Law as proof on your appointment day:

8. In some cities, there were cases when Ausländerbehorde(ABH) objected that the spouse in Germany is passing through the probation period of job. In some cities ,they ask for salary slips of 6 months while in others only for 3 months or just a job contract. Talk to other Pakistanis/Indians who have experience of dealing with the same ABH so that you can proceed accordingly.
Please correct if I am wrong on any account. The info is based on posts of members on this forum, experiences of acquaintances and my personal experience.

Shayed isi liye unhon ny mujy Nahi bulaya. 17 July ko application jama kerwai 19 August ko missing documents jama kerway with verification fees and visa fees and got file number. 3 week baad lawyer Aya inquiry k liye, September main. Than I kept waiting till January and got detailed letter from Embassy but Abh has written that letter. Teen safhy ky letter main unhoon ny aik aik Dokument ky bary Main discuss Kia hy. Than akhir main Likha ky ye objection door Ker dain Tu embassy is is qanoon ky tehat visa dy Sakti hy.
Objection clear kerny k liye unhoon ny 29 may tak Ka time dia.
10 April ko dobara papers jama kerway Jo unhoon ny maangy thy.
3 may ko lawyer Aya lekin sirf court and Union council hi gia. Ghar bhi Gia aur bayan likhwaya lekin meri daughter sy dobara inquiry ky liye Nahi Gia. Sirf us ky father sy court Ka procedure pooch ky statement likhwai. This all happened in Gujranwala, UC and Court. but my daughter lives in Lahore with my Aunt. So till now he did not visited her again. Shayed is ki zaroorat na ho.
Ab dekhain Kia banta hy. Bus khuda behtar kary ga aur sub Kuch juldi aur khariat sy ho Jaye, pata nahi aur Kitna intezaar kerway gy, is July main aik Saal ho Jaye ga.

Meri beti ny A1 nahi Kia hy, because she was 15 while applying visa that’s why she is exempted from that. And A1 is valid for forever. Don’t worry about that. my wife applied for family reunification visa.she was presented in embassy on 3rd january 2018 and at that time they accepted all the documents and lawyer has completed his work on 13rh january 2018.In april on 3rd week my wife recieved a call and the person said i am from german embassy and we have recieved your papers from germany and I have some questions to ask and he asked the same questions on telephone,which were asked on the time of interview.at the end of conversation he said you have truly answered all the questions and disconnected the line.now three weeks are passed after that call and now they dont reply on telephone or email.please guide me about our case.we should wait or hire a lawyer here in Germany.

6 months almost from submission of documents
Aoa, I did femily reunion online registeration on 30th march. Till now I have not received email confirming date of appointment. Can anyone tell how much i have to wait futher more for the email.

I had applied on feb mid and still i had not received any appointment date, I contacted a person from embassy today he said I am following a wrong email, I got this email:

Normally it takes 3.5 months to get an appointment, so wait for that.
He told me to apply again as i am supposed to receive another email confirmation whether i want an appointment or not in 2-3 days which I have to reply with yes or no than they will assign me an available slot.

I am confused a guy from embassy told ne that i am supposed to get two emails from embassy after online booking but i just got one. I applied in feb mid and still no date has been assigned to me and i am still on the waiting list

Wait till the end of May. You will get confirmation email.
u will receive second mail.u have to confirm that mail that u will be present in embassy on the given date.we were registerd on 5/10/2017 and got the second mail at the end of november 2017 and interview was taken on 3rd january

my wife was presented in embassy on 3rd january 2018.lawyer has completed his work on 13th january.we received a call from embassy on 26th april and they asked the same questions which were asked during interview and inquiry.now four and half months are passed but they didnt called for visa.
So that means at start we just get one mail and than after few weeks or months we will get the appointment date and we will have to confirm whether we are coming or not.

Hi i have applied for family reunion visa in august 2017 all inquries have done .but embassy is not issuing visa.my husband visited office in germnay twice they replied that have sent it already. They told that you will get visa within one month but now its been 2 months but embassy is not replying my emails..
Hi Samar, I think, if your husband write an email to the embassy with you case file number and inquire about the status, than they will surely answer him. If not than ask your husband to hire a German lawyer who can inquire and do the proper procedure to get you visa. They are just delaying.
We contacted them many times they dont reply. in germny my husbnd visited they said we have sent it again hope you will get it with in week. Already 3 days passed.
Bring your old document with you which embassy gave you on which it mentioned that maximum period is six months for visa process…passport and id card…hope so they will tell you the reason of delay

If yes, than they will verify all the documents again which you have submitted now. Nothing to worry. They will follow the procedure.

Ok, Tu phir Tu koi masla Nahi, they will follow thier procedure and will issue you visa. Normally 5 to 6 months if no objection occurs.
