Family Reunion – Pakistan – General info for all to avoid mistakes

Dear Members Assalam-o-Alaikum,
I am writing this email to let members know few things about family reunion and some mistakes which must be avoided. If some friend is going to get married  in Pakistan, please tell him/her about these issues. Simple looking mistakes can cause big trouble and delay later in family reunion.
About Nikah Registration:
Registration of Nikah involves three people:  Nikah Khawan, Nikah Registrar  and Union council. UC gives a register with 50 leaves to Nikah-Registrar. Each leave contains Nikah Nama ” Form II” in quadruplicate. In one UC , only a single Registrar can have the register.  In usual case, Nikah Khawan goes to Registrar(if he is himself not a registrar) and gets a Nikah nama Form II (which has fours copies). One copy each (filled and signed) is given to  Duhla, Dulhan,Registrar and UC.
1. Take care that Nikah is registered at the same Union Council where Nikah has taken place .Address written on filled Nikahnama should be in the UC where Nikah is registered.  Any thing different to this created big problem for many ,especially those who did Nikha in a Marriage Hall and brought Molvi sahib from some other UC. If you made this mistake, count a delay of at least 3 months. Embassy will raise objection as the lawyer sent for Marriage verification would like to see your Nikah registered at the same UC as address written on Nikahnama. You may be to asked to change registration of your marriage from one UC to other through a court procedure in Pakistan.
2. Please closely check all the four copies of the filled Nikah-Nama for any mistake in names, ID card nr., date of birth etc. Check that all signatures are there at right place and stamp of Nikah-Registrar is present. Many take things lightly in Pakistan while filling forms.
3. Telephonic Nikah is big no no. You must be present there as German Embassy/consulate now checks it from entry and exit stamps on your passport. If there are some unavoidable circumstances, give a written power of attorney which has legal value i.e signed in front of Notary Public/judge or from Pakistani embassy/consulate (in case they deal with it) to your father to represent you during Nikah.  Better be present there. Your absence will complicate the matters and hence the delay/rejection as a consequence.
4.  Carefully read the requirements of Embassy for Family reunion. If any question arises, call embassy to get an answer. Don’t rely blindly on the info collected from here and there.
5. Some people I talked to have made mistake while getting online appointment. You mad a mistake in name, passport number or email address than most probably you will not be able to submit documents on that day. In my experience, if you decide to take an appointment for family reunion, you normally get it after 4 to 6 weeks. So missing an appointment can be source of further delay.6. The interview by lawyer or at embassy may involve basic questions from your spouse about you. Newly married; make sure he/she has all the basic info about you.

7. Spouse of a Blue Card holder is exempted from providing A-1 German language certificate. About this, don’t believe on what they say on phone :). If your spouse can’t manage to do a language course in Pakistan, present following reference of the concerned Law  as proof on your appointment day:

8. In some cities, there were cases when Ausländerbehorde(ABH) objected that the spouse in Germany is passing through the probation period of job.  In some cities ,they ask for salary slips of 6 months while in others only for 3 months or just a job contract. Talk to other Pakistanis/Indians who have experience of dealing with the same ABH  so that you can proceed accordingly.

Please correct if I am wrong on any account. The info is based on posts of members on this forum, experiences of acquaintances and my personal experience.

If you know some other issues which you or someone known to you faced, kindly share on this forum. This will facilitate others in their family reunion.

    Jab Lawyer Hamary pas Aya tha. Tou Mary Aur Meri Wife k Birth certifacte ki entry proper Hoi Thi back Files ki Pics bhe li ic ny. Lawyer ny at the end Kha k ap tension free ho jain ap ka Case bilkul thk hai.
    6 months and 3 Days passed still waiting. Dead Lazy System hai enka.

    My wife Applied for Family reunion visa in July.
    Lawyer visited her at home on 26 August.
    Auslander Behörde requested me to bring 3 months Salary Slips, Job contract and House contract.
    I was yesterday (friday) there. Officer sacaned my all documents and then he said i will write embassy Today and your Wife will recive visa Call on monday inshAllah.
    What should she Take with for visa ?
    Passport, Ticket and travel Health Insurance (which one).
    I have Health Insurance in Germany. Does she Really Need it?

    1. embassy will accpt court oder for sure and nobody will going to verify again as per my experience i had same problem but than it was accpted without any further investigation

Thank you so much for such information and one thing mire i am going to ask how long it gonna take because embassy has said once you submit your birth certificate then we will contact the auslander behorde again in germany because i got the court date 2 feb and then i think i have to go to the district hospital and age verification test i have to make for new birth certificate

  11. Got a call from embassy now,they said my visa is approved come on monday/tuesday and bring passport only :/ didnt say anything about insurance or ticket

    1. Congratulation umer but i think its better you go with insurance because when vusa is approved definitely you have to be medically insured and the ticket is not very important because the date stated on insurance your visa going to be start from that day……… Allah bless you

Okay but when it is interview then your wife is also getting appointment and they have mentioned time when they have not mention the time i font think so it is interview when they have told you your visa is approved but don’t worry when they are saying about insurance then you can mange it from the embassy because they also have photo insurance etc services at embassy….

Okay,no they havent given any specific time they said come on either monday or tuesday by 8am and my wife hasnt been contacted at all in germany but i am still getting insurance for 2 months starting from 15th feb so even if its an interview will soon get the visa hopefully so wont be a waste

          2. apko maybe kisi neh mamu bana dia hai, mene last year visa lia tha n mujha tu subha 9 k time call ayi thi n embassy bi subha 8am ko ana ka kaha tha, mera 3 doston k sath bi same meri taraha howa tha, keine ahung apka case kyun diffirent hai,apki wife ko lazmi foreign office bulana chahya tha aur unka house aur salary ka bohat role hota apka visa mein, anyway best of luck

Congratulation umer bhai .. exactly everyone has individual case i was in germany for 3 n half year in berlin so i have seen lots of cases sometimes you are getting vusa without any effort and some times you jabe to struggle a lot like in my case my wife is here for 5 months but the ever still waiting

  18. Need help can anyone tell me if I have saudia birth certificate and living in Pakistan from decads ..and have never been registered in nadra birth record what should I provide embassy…? Oringal saudia birth certificate or anything alternative from Pakistani ?

Its better to give Saudis birth certificate or alternative if you are living in punjab and you have done your matriculation here then follow the complete procedure of late entry uc guys now that then submit that one but remember then you font need to tell embassy about saudia birth certificate

  20. Someone suggest me to get no entry certificate from Union and attach affidavit with it ..so it would be the proof of no birth record in Pakistan …and provide your saudia birth certificate tooo

Other guy said me to send your saudia birth certificate again in saudia to Pakistani embassy they will attest it and then you have to attest it from forign affair. .this procedure seems quite difficult infact imposible…please guide me the exact way. .what should I do in case of my birth certificate

        1. AoA nahi abhi tak nahi. Mera Husband ABH geya tha bcz wo Pakistan araha hai. ABH walo ne use kaha keh tum Apartment aur work k papers leker ao Hum edher se Process clear krte hai agar aap Pakistan m bhi ho to shayed Embassy Wale apki biwi ko call kerlay.

          3. 6 months time hai uss mein kabhi bhi lig sakta hai but 28 days impossible because inquiry aapki bhi to ho gi so you have to estimate 6 months when everything is okay its better

See my wife is also german and most of the people has german spouses so its better that you have an estimate of 6 months in your mind may be you are going to get early if you are lucky of course visa lag jae ga jub sub documents and requirements are fullfiled … if you have saudi birth certificate then of course when you were born your family has registered in you pakistani consulate in saudi arabia so its better to ask pakistan embassy in saudi arabia if they can notarized your birth certificate and translate it to english so you habe time you

      1. thanks alot :) Aleya and yep i did got insurance and then visited the embassy they are really ……………. …………… people,they told almost all the people there to just bring passport and when they arrive on embassy gate the security person will tell them that why have you not bought insurance ?? and then tell that no no go back to shuttle service and get insurance from there,i happened to a girl today and you cant do shit about that they will just behave that you have to know all these things by yourself it is really bad how they treat people in embassy,anyway i had insurance so they let me go and after 2hours of sitting outside in freezing cold they gave me the visa

  23. and i also visited them on monday as did many people because these idiots called many people to come on monday or tuesday and when we arrived on monday they told us that oh the family visa is only issued on tuesday so go back,i was like WTF why do you call us,and then these assholes will pretend like its all your fault,they will not even say sorry that we called by mistake anyway for all people my advice is do all the work and research your self dont even bother expecting any help from embassy,

  24. and i only bought insurance to embassy along with passport no ticket,i am booking my ticket now,and i bought UBL insurance for 2 months only for Rs4400 and they did not object but to be on the safe side you should get 3 months insurance as visa they provide is also 3months

Sir mene last year 2017. 4april me family visa apply kiya tha me pakistan se hu or meri wife german hai or 19june 2017 me birth certificate ka issue nikal aya or pir mene court case kiya or complete karte karte 5 mah laggai or 19november ko embessy me jama karwaya dubara german fees di or 10 din bad wakeel bi verify kar k chale gya or aaj mere 2month or 13 din hogai hai or german mere abi tak documents nai pohmche kab tak call aaigi muje plssss tell me …… I am waiting

    us k sare docs okay hain
    germany se aur pak se sb process complete hogya hai

    aik issue yeh hai k mera bc without medical bna hua hai aur mein is time germany main hn. so what you guys think k koi msla bn ckta hain?

    agar embassy medical k liay kehti hai and mere liay abi foran ana possible na ho to?

    now it’s been 6 months aur embassy se koi jawab nai aya

        2. Arif bhai you don’t need to worry apka birth certificate ka issue nahi ho ga because you have already Aufenthalt it is only concern to your wife and i think sub okay hai don’t you need to worry about that

    2. Arif bhai same situation here. Me and my fiancée we both are here in Germany. We applied for marriage and Registrar office (Standesamt) send our inquiry in German embassy Islamabad and after inquiry came back. Everything was ok but embassy wrote in remarks that my Birth Was registered as late entry and without medical (age assessment report). So because of this report the German Higher Court are not accepting our documents for further processing and advised us to contact embassy and ask for the solution or further step to make it correct.
      Can you please suggest or tell your experience? Did you face such problem or not? Any suggestions please?
